Deep, dark, purple red, not quite opaque. Aromas are tight & restrained, with mulberry fruit framed by clean new oak. The tannins are very tight & dense. Behind the structure is plenty of rich, ripe, mulberry fruit & fine, well-integrated new oak. The Alcohol adds warmth & richness to the fruit. Acidity is sufficiently balanced to give a juicy character. Despite their density the tannins are very fine. A long finish takes time to reveal its fruit
