Almost opaque, dark-ruby core & purple rim. Brooding, complex aromas combine high-toned, ripe, black cherry & dark olive fruit with meaty notes. The palate starts savoury, displaying a tight, dense structure of velvety tannins that, while powerful are impressively supple. Fresh acidity & alcohol are wonderfully balanced. Juicy black-fruit gains meaty/dark olive notes as it builds to a long dry, savoury finish. Superbly poised for such an intense wine.
